Channel Ten – The Impacts of AGL’s Macarthur Wind Development – The Project

11th December, 2012

A report on the Macarthur wind project built by AGL in collaboration with wind turbine manufacturer VESTAS in western Victoria. There are 140 wind turbines, each just under one hundred and fifty metres high from the ground to the tip of the blade. The rotor diameters of the V 112 VESTAS wind turbines are approximately 90 metres.

The program includes interviews with affected residents Jan Hetherington, and Annie and Andrew “Gus” Gardner, wind turbine host Hamish Officer, AGL’s Scott Thomas, and footage of an interview with Professor Gary Wittert, where Professor Wittert states categorically that there is no evidence of any harm to human health from wind turbines.
