Dear Commissioner Pascoe,
We are writing in support of the Waubra Foundation and its status as a Health Promotion Charity.
There is evidence of ill health caused by industrial noise, beginning with the work of Dr. Neil Kelley and NASA in the 1980’s into the noise produced by wind turbines. Many doctors in many countries have reported on the ill health of their patients caused by industrial noise.
Much of this evidence has been ignored or denied in relation to noise from wind turbines because it runs counter to the clean, green ideology promoted by the wind farm developers and their sycophants.
We have had the Macarthur Wind Farm inflicted on us, and since it began operation in October 2012 we have suffered various symptoms which were not present prior to this time.
My husband in particular suffers severe sleep deprivation, with several awakenings during the night, and long periods of wakefulness. He also feels vibration in his body. The only time he can get a decent night’s sleep is when he is away from the farm. Two of our sons avoid staying with us if there is an alternative, because they experience disrupted sleep whenever they come home. I have bouts of nausea, and my tinnitus is worse and my hearing affected.
We are in touch with many others living near wind farms, both in Victoria and across Australia. We know people who are refugees in their own country as they can no longer live in their own homes.

The extraordinary people at the Foundation are working hard to get the truth out there about industrial noise, whatever the source, and its effect on health.
The Waubra Foundation also provides an invaluable resource for people in Australia, and around the world, to access reliable and factual information.
We ask that the ruling of December 11th 2014 be reversed so that the valuable work of the Waubra Foundation can continue.
