Newman, D. Submission to 2015 Select Committee on Wind Turbines
“My husband had much difficulty with the noise (the continual thumping from them) and was close to a nervous breakdown”
I would very much like to object to the installation of the Wind Turbines at Mt Emerald. My husband and I owned a very successful Dairy Farm opposite the wind farm at Ravenshoe. My husband had much difficulty with the noise ( the continual thumping from them) and was close to a nervous breakdown. We made the decision to sell to get away from them. We then bought our retirement home at Rangeview, Tolga. We have not retired yet, but it now looks like we will have to sell this property (at a much reduced price) if these Turbines go ahead. As our health is much more important to us. There are so many more people who will be affected by this decision, as it is a much more densely populated area. The Queensland noise levels should mean something to you Committee. Thank you for reading this and I hope that it may mean something to your Committee.
